About the Planning Team:
The Planning team helps shape the region by implementing Council’s Planning Scheme. We actively manage a broad range of stakeholder interests to negotiate appropriate development outcomes. With an emphasis on communication, accountability and transparency, we offer a supportive team environment where you can mentor and be mentored, while dealing with a range of exciting and challenging projects.
About the position:
The Planner position works to assist in the provision and coordination of development assessment and related services to ensure outcomes which achieve Council’s planning objectives, meet stakeholder needs, and support the aims of relevant legislation, planning instruments, standards, and codes in the interest of the community.
- This is a permanent full-time position based in Toowoomba's CBD.
- The annual salary range for this position is $70,069.71 - $87,970.19 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

How to be successful in this position:
Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the position:
- A Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) recognised undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Urban or Regional Planning from an Australian university (or VET assessed equivalent).
- Membership of Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) or other relevant professional association, or eligibility for membership.
- Possession of a current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
